Pardon the tardiness of my comment. Google has made it cumbersome to do so. Since I became a fan of horse racing a quarter century ago I have been witness to may tracks closing. Closing BC's interior racetracks hurt the most. I miss my city boy takes on the rubes excursions a great deal. Shortly after those closures came the closure of Saskatoon's Marquis Downs - my favourite out of province oval.
ReplyDeleteThe closure of Hasting's Racecourse is, or ought to be, unthinkable. The Hastings's Park Liberation Army is readying itself for action. Vancouver is forever trying to present itself as a world class city. World class cities race horses.
