Which is really, really great, indeed.

I mean, it's truly fantastic to see that, in linguistic terms at least, Ms. Clark is keeping up with her old rival who is now, apparently, a political ally.

But.

Inquiring minds that may (or may not) have a look at the National Enquirer occasionally sure would like to know the following...

Is Ms. Clark's comprehension better or worse when she reads the broadsheets in English?

______
Of course, there is a possible third answer....
Gosh, I wonder  if Maggie Thatcher ever....Oh....Nevermind.

  1. The New Yorker regularly features single-frame, editorial-type cartoons without captions, inviting readers to suggest funny punchlines (each issue shows winners' and runners'-up entries and a new, non- captioned cartoon.) Here Christy looks like she's having a private guffaw over such an editorial cartoon. While I'll have to confess I regularly peruse foreign language journals, usually found near the umbrella stand in most restaurants I have occasion to visit, I still need friends or relatives to translate Mandarin, Japanese or Hebrew--but here Christy's got such a cool, no-sweat, piece-of-cake expression, I'm wonderin' if she's as down with Ogam and Runes too. Anyways, the entire pic begs for a caption contest--either that or a guessing game at what it is she could be smirking at. Or is the newspaper just a prop?
