Makes me remember those "old school" school desks made of wood and cast iron with a sloped lid on a hinge, and a flat space with a hole for an ink well, I seem to remember there were a few of those floating around at Monterey.

ReplyDeleteI remember them well, especially the hole where the ink was supposed to go given how left-handed unfriendly the positioning was.

Grade 1 - Sidaway School Richmond - grade 1 wooden desks were bolted to the floor, tip up lids and of course the hole for the ink bottle (which grade 1's were not allowed to have!)
