This Day In Snookland...When Marky-Mark Met Moe.

FirstThey'llTakeNewton
ThenThey'llTakePointGreyVille

In case you missed it, former Enbridge lobbyist Mr. Mark Marissen and former Dipper preznit Moe Sihota are both workin' it for the same political candidate.

In Surrey!

Charlie Smith had the story in the GStraight a few days ago:

THOSE HOPING FOR truly progressive change in Surrey are quietly groaning over the prospects for the 2014 mayoral race.

At the moment, it seems to be pitting bubbly councillor Linda Hepner against the tough-minded Barinder Rasode...

{snippety doodle-dandy}

...Rasode, formerly associated with the now-defunct Surrey Civic Coalition, is being helped by two bare-knuckled political organizers, federal Liberal Mark Marissen and former B.C. NDP president Moe Sihota.

Marissen remains an ardent political supporter of his ex-wife, Premier Christy Clark. He was also a top B.C. organizer for former prime minister Paul Martin.

Sihota helped steer the provincial NDP on a more conservative course during his tenure as party president from 2009 to 2013...

Wowser!

Sign-Up-A-Palooza anyone?

_______
Hard not to wonder if this match made in heckfire started the night Moe showed up for a photo-op at...Well...You know.

The Liberal mouthpiece needs NDP support ?????

Sorry RossK but I'm having a problem with this story " The Coalition of BC Businesses representing 50-thousand employers and 500-thousand employees has applied for intervenor status in the court case between the provincial government and the BC Teachers Federation over class-size and composition.
Coalition Chair Mark von Shellwitz says the recent ruling by the BC Supreme Court in favour of the union ties the hands of the provincial government and the estimated cost of $2-billion is a threat to all taxpayers."

So what are the Liberals promising small business for it's support ? Where was this Coalition when the Liberals signed away Billions in "Future Obligations".
What a joke.

Sign-Up-A-Palooza indeed. Sign up your cat, your dog, or even your rabbit if you like. Just attach something to the form, submit it to the right people, and it will all be okay.

Regarding Guy’s comment, this is the same bunch (Phil Hockstein, John Winter, New Car Dealers Association, et al) that thought the HST was just marvelous. The HST would have moved $2 billion per year from the taxpayer directly to them, and they thought we could afford that just fine. How is it that the cost ($300 million to $2 billion depending on who’s doing the estimate) of abiding by a court decision to correct the mess created by Christy Clark is now suddenly unaffordable?

Mark Von Shellwitz? Must be a typo. Should read Mark Von Shillwitz. One of the usual suspects who are trotted out whenever Christy is having a bad day. Guaranteed to be the lead story on the Bill Good Show as well.
