The Keef Report....The Revenge Of Shawnigan Lake.

Remember this from early 2016?

More than 500 people gathered at Shawnigan Lake on Vancouver Island on Wednesday morning to raise awareness about the effects of dumping allegedly contaminated soil near the community's watershed.

The province has granted a permit to allow the dumping of salt water dredgings from Port Moody into a quarry near the Vancouver Island lake. But thousands of people in the area north of Victoria rely on the watershed for drinking water.

"We want people to understand this is not an NIMBY issue. This is a contaminated landfill that got approved without going through the government's own process," said Shawnigan Lake regional director Sonia Furstenau...

And, remember how the Keef responded to a righteous local citizen uprising backed by a then little known regional director:

Well, it would appear that our favourite TeeVee political pundit man has been proven wrong.

Again.

_______
And how, specifically, was the good Mr. Baldrey already wrong about this thing originally back in the pre-2017 provincial election day?... Well, this.

she certainly worked hard on the issue and deserves to have won not only her seat as an M.L.A. but leader of the Green Party. I believe she will do well. A few more Green politicians like here and the Greens could give everyone a run for their money.

I agree.

Of course, the fact that she is not Mr. Weaver may be used as a rationale for the Dipper braintrust to call a snap election, regardless...

If that occurs the Keef's emphatic 'zero' impact on gov't will reach infinity.

Keef hasn't always been right/correct, etc. I watched the New leader and I truly think she has promise. I'm not a member of the Greens and won't be changing my vote to them, but I do think she can give both the NDP and the B.C. Lieberals a real run for their money. If I were Horgan. I would not be calling an election right now. although some B.C. Lieberal voters who aren't all that impressed with Wilkinson and Johal, might decide to park their votes with the Greens and their new leader. If she turns out to be as good as I think she could be, she may be as "dangerous" to the B.C. Lieberals as she might be to the NDP.
