New Media Narrative(s) Rising In B.C.?

You know it had to be coming...

The following is from pollster Mario Canseco writing in various and sundry Glacier Media organs:

...The proportion of British Columbians who would like to see BC United and the BC Conservatives merge before the election has risen from 32 per cent in January to 39 per cent in March, and encompasses small majorities of people who would cast a ballot for each of the individual parties (53 per cent and 54 per cent, respectively)...

What will follow?

Well, if this narrative does gather serious steam I would take pretty short odds that there will soon a spate of 'The Greens could once again hold the balance of power' - type columns from the Dean and his herd.

Imagine that!

I thought the football club was the “merge”.

Chuck--

Ha!

Perhaps it was the pre-merge before the mega-merge?

Maybe they could call it Social Credit.

Maybe BCC should change their name to "Take Back BC"

Due to may dealings with politicos on another subject altogether, I have gleaned that there will be a serious debate this May and June and a decision by July to merge the The cons and the United under one banner.

From what I was told, there is growing unhappiness with Eby and the several fails during his reign. Also the police issue in Surrey is turning radio active for the NDP and from what I wasn't supposed to know, "something evil this way comes", may confront the NDP by October.

Snap election anyone?

Conservatives and B.C. United "joining"???? That ought to be an ego fest if there ever was one. Kevin isn't going to willingly step aside but he could be run over by the rest of the caucus. Those old guys over at the Conservatives, they have nothing to loose and not much can be tossed at them, unless some one does deep digging.

I'm sure we're going to be hearing a lot about how voters are tired of Eby. Its a strategy, if you'd like.

If people like the Cons, they might want to step over and have a look see at Alberta and how its going there.

Lets not forget the Cons are not great money managers. when Mulroney and Harper left offfice they both left large deficients and Mulroney was left a surplus by his predecessor, a Liberal.

Have you had enough Kevin Falcon was the establishments choice just as was David Eby, which left many members upset. This was the start of the Conservative fracture. The 'bird' maybe will have his "goose cooked" by the same establishment who see a looming defeat on the horizon.

Eby has the same issue, but better hidden by the NDP hierarchy. The Greens will benefit by this from both sides.

Look at today's "drug" announcement, which is a reply to NDP mismanagement.

As I have said, the policing issue in Surrey has turned radio active for the NDP and it may cost Farnsworth his job. There more but unfortunately as it stands it is mere gossip.

Surrey and its 11 seats may not go the NDP's way.

The one thing that unites the right is greed.
We were better governed in BC when the NDP had to rely upon the Greens for support.
The Greens have become the forgotten party mainly due to the incompetence of the post Liz May group .
IMHO the country, including this province, is about to turn sharp right .
We can only blame ourselves for not keeping our elected leaders accountable.

Actually Momma May is with the federal Greens, which has a tainted history, far too tainted for my liking.

The provincial, Greens is a BC brand, lead by Fursteneau and though untried in government, they can't be any worse than the current NDP or United/Cons.

The fear that the country and province are turning a sharp right is basically about the current lot in power, which could not operate a peanut stand and prove it continually.

Federally The Conservative MAGA clone is in response to the vacuous and apologetic Trudeau and the ship wreck the the NDP has become.

If one is so worried about Mr. P being elected, one should reflect on the political parties they supported and ask themselves some very serious questions.

Mr. P is not a Trump. but a party of anti science, antivaxers, with a sprinkling of religious zealots, who believe the rapture cannot come too soon so they can leave this mortal coil.

Who ever is elected, will have much bigger problems to deal with like a more than bellicose Russia, which will need a massive shot of military money, which will upset those who rely on the public dole to protest.

Canada will be living in interesting times and one wonders who will ultimately be pulling the puppet strings of the new lot in power, Beijing, Delhi, Moscow, or Washington?
