Zohran Mamdani is the new mayor of New York City.
A self-proclaimed US'ian Republican Party operative and 'reality' journalist responds:
Jack Posobiec posted a video purporting to be from the streets of Manhattan in 1993, showing mostly white members of the public, with the implication that the population had been transformed by immigration.
“NYC in 1993. Now exists only as a memory,” he wrote.
Gosh.
One can only wonder what that statue in New York harbour was all about from 1886, the year the statue was installed, and the ensuing one hundred and seven years.

I'd be willing to bet that many of those "white members of the public" wouldn't have been considered white when the statue was installed. Irish and Italian immigrants certainly weren't.
Excellent point Cap.
.
In the 19th century, with a Polish name like Posobiec, Jack himself would have been too Slavic to be white.
Jack Posobiec is a very loathsome and dangerous individual. I base my opinion on his documented actions, not the colour of his skin or his origin.
For example (one of many and not the worst), posting a picture of a street scene and professing to know the character of the individuals shown based on their skin colour reveals an arrogant ignorance that renders him unfit to be included in civilized discourse.
Unfortunately, in today’s America that still gives him a large and rapt audience, including those living and working out of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave in Washington DC.
The midterms can’t come soon enough.
things change and that includes who lives in a country. People live and die and are replaced, even if it is by their own descendants and things still change. Now if its because there are people of colour or people of other ethnic groups, well he had better get on a boat and go back to where his family came from because I am sure the Indigenous People have thought, well there went the neighbourhood when all those europeans came but didn't leave.
I would wager the vast majority of Americans haven't a clue about the history of the Statue, nor the history of immigration in the USA.
