This Day In Clarkland...We Don't Need No Stinking Public Consultation On The Jericho Lands!

Yup, that's right.

In case you've forgotten, the Jericho lands on Lotusland's far western edge are up for sale.

And while the province once claimed it would consult with local residents about the deal those same locals (at least the ones that live a little further east, in Kits) went out and voted for a guy named Eby.

So now, according to the words of the very fine Minister for all things Clarkland, Mr. Amrik Virk, at least, there will be no consultation.

Mr. Eby himself has the story.

Gosh.

I wonder who will win the 'fair market value' bid on this one?

_________
Also have to wonder if the wizards have decided to go all in with the good Mr. Virk and let him take all the heat for all the badness in all of Clarkland so that that the puffed-up punditry will just dismiss said badness as an offshoot of Dipper grandstanding...Guess we'll know if this really is the strate(r)gy if they suddenly make Mr. Virk the Minister in charge of Hydro and move the ol' Turdstormer to Minister of Hockey Rinks and Ski Resorts....Or some such thing.

Likely depends on how large the donations to the part are.
Cynical?
Yes.

'Tis a Fed/Prov split on the selling of the land...See Eby's statement.
