But, here's the thing.
The bit above comes from the lede of a piece from a click bait-laden media organ grinder called the 'Daily Express, US' and pretty well nowhere else in the entire Googleplex except for a carbon copy in something call the 'Latin Times'.
Which means that, in this case at least, no news really is a good thing.

As SaskBoy has said, we should contact the CRTC about getting Fox News out of Canada.
I suspect that Watters would shut his slimy mouth real quick if he were tapped to be the point man setting first foot across the 49th on his “peaceful” invasion.
Having said that, these ideas are being fed to a very large Fox audience used to a diet of what they want to hear, and once introduced to the MAGA Petri dish alongside Trump’s 51st state fever dream could start growing dangerous tentacles. There’s an enormous pent-up anger in the US right now, and the last thing we need is for it to focus North.
It’s not clear whether they were targeted because of the predator’s instinct for weak links, or because of the notion they’d vote Republican if given the chance, but the strongest pushback should be coming from the three provinces identified as targets.
Canada would all vote for De ?
First off, Jessie Walters must be declared "Persona non Grata in Canada and his name entered on a no-fly list.
Secondly, we must take seriously Walters call for war against Canada. This is coming directly from Trump and his 51st state nonsense. The tariffs are asymmetrical warfare but the the US's economy tanking, invading Canada would be a good sell to the MAGA lot.
it is my belief that Carney is taking this seriously, something the Conservatives are not.
What is worrisome is the Trump/Putin summit coming up later this month and I have a horrible feeling it will not be just about Ukraine but the carving up of Canada, between the two super-powers.
Americans love war, except when war is made on their homeland and I wonder if Canada doesn't have a nuke or two up its sleeve for just an event.
Nothing like incinerating Mar-La-go and a few other red state capitals to make the idea of invading Canada unpalatable.
We are living in perilous times.

We should pay attention to the MAGA mouthpieces, especially those on the cable news with the biggest reach in the US.
Because Trump surely does.
Canada would. Two of the three provinces targeted for “annexation” by Watters in his odious spiel wouldn’t, and the third is questionable. Thus the focus.
Here’s a very good and scary documentary from PBS that is no longer available on its website. It’s about drumph and all that he learned first time through the White House and how he’s doing it differently this time. There are no more adults in the room to tell him “NO!”.
