What Is It Good For?

Absolutely Placenames, Say It Again!
Ambrose Sundays, 1st EditionVille

He was a cynical misanthrope with a gimmick.

Like HST, he could flat out write. And like HST he worked for a maniacal egomaniac. Orson Welles played his boss in the movies, which has us wondering - who will play Wenner when the time comes?*

Anyway, his name was Ambrose Bierce and we figure his words will make an excellent book end to our longrunning HST Fridays.

Here is the first edition, short, but definitely not sweet:

"War is the Devil's way of teaching Americans geography."

Enough said.
