Lib-Con Cold Fusion....What Codswallop This Way Cometh?

Well, well, well....

Bill Bennett thinks that there just might be a BC Lib-Con coalition down the road.

R Matas and J. Hunter have the story in The Globe. Here's their lede:

With Premier Christy Clark’s government facing an important by-election test just days from now, members of her caucus are calling for action to unite the centre-right vote in B.C.

Bill Bennett, B.C. Liberal MLA for Kootenay East, was out campaigning in Chilliwack-Hope on Thursday, where he said he found many voters are “on the tipping point” between supporting the B.C. Liberals and their rival B.C. Conservatives, setting up what he expects will be a tight race next week.

“We need to do something about the vote split,” he said. He added that there is the potential for compromise and consensus leading to a coalition but he believes the B.C. Conservative Leader, John Cummins, won’t be part of the solution. “If you listen to John what’s-his-name, there doesn’t seem to be any room for compromise.”....

"Whats-his-name?"

Ha!

The leader of a come-from-nowhere party that is now even with the ruling BC Libs is being called 'Whats-his-name' by Mr. Bennett?

Wow.

As Ian Reid notes, it would appear that Mr. Bennett is, indeed, delusional.

Because, as we noted Wednesday, the Curmudgeon has no interest in messing his bed with the LINOs.

At least as they are currently configured.

But, as we noted back in January, what if...

"...the (Fed) Cons (running the LINO's) were to suddenly depose The Snook, anoint The Birdman, and then engineer a fusion-based love-in with The Curmudgeon (Mr. Cummins)...

How would those (center-right split) numbers look then?"

Because, as a sharp commenter noted yesterday, there are multiple long games when you (ie. the FedCons) are waging total war on all fronts at all times.

Politically speaking, of course.

OK?

Anyone want to wager that Rob Obvious will run with the 'End of the Snook' scenario sometime soon (as in tonight, unless of course he decides to tell us all about Bush Ranger Bobby Kinder first....there you go Mr. M. - another free one just in case you are at last minute loose ends).
