Late Winter Jukebox, Song 7....Fare Thee Well.

There'sNoSong
LikeAReallyReallyGreatSongVille

This one is pretty much all E.

I'm just along for the ride...

______
There are many, many versions of this true folk song that recently showed up in that Coen Brothers movie...A woman named 'Dink' used to sing it while working a long time ago. Musicologist John Lomax heard her, a capella, in 1904 and his son Alan, who palled around with those notorious community organizers like  Guthrie and Seeger injected it into the folk mainstream a couple of generations later...And while many of the versions kicking around out there really are transcendent none is more so than this one from Jeff Buckley...

______
Other songs in the LateWinter Jukebox are below...For all you seasonally maladjusted folks, the AdventJuke is still available below (but not for long...running out of audiocloud storage space - so download 'em if you want em - or send me an Email and I'll send you an mp3) and...Here.

The audio isn't working RossK, but I can still hear the faint voice and lovely phrasing of an angel...

Should be better now - although still not perfect.

Trouble is - there's so much power in the kid's voice that the set-up I have to record my weakling warbles lead to distortion with stuff like this...So it's a bit of a balance between volume and blarrrggghh on this one - sorry about that (you can boost your volume to get a little more).

Will try to fix for next time, but might have to have a consult with a real expert like Don F. first.

btw had my volume at max...

The girl's so good, maybe it's time to upgrade to a better recording thing?

But, what do I know? I'm more adept at stacking wood and digging in the dirt than reading technical manuals...

Mostly a levels thing re: the distortion...

But, ya, exporting out of Garageband isn't the best.
