My Morning (Bus) Ride.

BackdoorPlease
StandingInTheYellowZoneVille

Was busy on the bus this morning.

And an elderly lady got up so that a Dad with his toddler could have her seat.

They then had a fine conversation all the way to the Canada Line stop at King Edward while I read about how the state gun lobby laws in Florida will prevent the City of Tampa from banning handguns while they do ban clubs, hatchets, switchblades, pepper spray, slingshots, chains and shovels, outside the Republican National Convention this summer.

It's a crazy, mixed-up inner-life world we live in.

______
How? Well, I have this bizarre ability to two-track things, both written and conversational ...Used to drive my friends crazy in school who would catch crap for whispering at the back of the room while I solved the binomial when called upon...My kids think I'm a mutant of some kind...They may be right.

Pete and RePete would read novels in class and still be able to answer questions when called upon. Drove the teachers nuts.

I can't watch TV without doing something else - knitting, reading, surfing the inter-tubes, playing my instruments. I listen to audio books when I do housework, drive, walk the doggie because my brain has to be kept entertained at all times.

There was a good scene in an early Malcolm in the Middle, after Malcolm had saved a school science fair by doing a lot of savant math challenges in his head and calling out the results. The family was driving home in stunned silence, and his younger brother Dewey finally broke it by asking his parents if Malcolm was a robot.
My daughter would read and keep an ear on our conversations and, occasionally and insultingly, look up and say 'that last bit sounded interesting, could we go over it again.'

A look at the included link will show that the F35 is a real flying turkey that is junk compared to the 4th ++ generation Soviet fighters. The SU 35S appears to be superior in every aspect.

Assessing the Sukhoi PAK-FA in the link listed below shows this aircraft to be the REAL 5th generation fighter that Canada will probably be up against with their very inferior F35.
The biggest tragedy is that these aircraft can probably be bought for a fraction of the cost of the over priced flying crap we are obligated to buy from the US.

lol.....that reminds me of my school years, Ross
I had a great math teacher that got annoyed with me and my buddy always done our assignments and trying amuse ourselves, of course, distracting the class......as a solution, he got us to help teach the other kids......and some of them ended up getting better marks than the two of us.......thats a real solution!

Wasn't smart enough or, and I'm ashamed to say this, especially given the business I'm in now, brave enough to try that when I was still a callow young kid in high school pretending to be a wiseguy.
