NEW MEMBER APPOINTED TO PORT METRO VANCOUVER BOARD
VICTORIA - The Province has filled the vacancy on the Port Metro Vancouver Board created by the departure of the outgoing provincial appointee, whose term of office expires Feb. 28, 2011. The term for a new member on the board of directors is three years.
Philip Hochstein has been chosen to replace current appointee, Sarah Morgan-Silvester. Hochstein is president of the Independent Contractors and Businesses Association of B.C. (ICBA). He has extensive governance and board experience as well as knowledge of the Asia Pacific Gateway, primarily through this experience serving on the board of directors of the Asia Pacific Gateway Skills Table.

I've been trying to do some research on M. Hochstein - beyond the obvious puffery that's available on the guy - and have come up with very little solid material.
Any thoughts about where one should start looking?

Just look for Hochstein or Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Victoria 1984
However, what Mr. Hoschstein is really after is to become the first BC elected Senator, beating out Rich Coleman!
This is not a good thing.
Oh, yeah, I feel way better now, RossK - NOT!
It is refreshing to see Gregor do the right thing, tho . . . .
I knew I was following that person's name for a reason...
Put 2 and 2 together and you get pipeline!

Sarah Morgan-Silvester is being replaced by Hochstein.
I wonder if he has the same beliefs as Morgan-Silvester:
“Why me? Well, why not me?” she asks with a touch of indignation. “You just have to stand on your own merit. If you happen to fit the skill set, you’re a good board member.”

Directors appointed — with the Minister consulting users — shall have generally acknowledged and accepted stature within the transportation industry or the business community and relevant knowledge and extensive experience related to the management of a business, to the operation of a port or to maritime trade.
But there's this: Who is NOT Eligible:
"An individual who is a director, officer or employee of a person who is a user of the port"; Hochstein is the president of the truckers who use the port.....DUH.
