MTV has just announced that this year will be the last hurrah for Jersey Shore.
But even the real Snooki never says stuff like this about the set of her 'reality show':
"...Ms. Clark has a pleasant disposition and communicates effectively, when on script. She displays none of her predecessor’s arrogance. Conventional wisdom says she is massively ambitious and politically tough. The former may be true. The latter is not. She doesn’t much care for the cut and thrust. In one profoundly unguarded moment earlier this year, she expressed a weakness.
“When the House rises at the end of [May], you’re never going to find me in Victoria,” she told the National Post, as an interview was winding up. “I’m going to be traveling the province for the next year…I try never to go over there. Because it’s sick. It’s a sick culture. All they can think about is government and there are no real people in Victoria, and you get captured by this inside-the-beltway debate, and it’s really unhealthy.”..."
The above was from Brian Hutchinson's NaPo column this week in the wake of the Falcon and the Slowman's announcement that they were leaving Ms. Clark's (un)reality show a little early, before it, too, is cancelled for good.

I have long wondered why right whingers who are in government hate government so. I mean, if democracy is worth doing, why expend so much energy opposing governmance?

I think your question is a big important one*.
Essentially, I believe it is not a matter of an opposition of governance, but instead an opposition of any and all regulation that seeks to level playing fields.

*Thus, by virtue of being big and important, I do not think it actually applies to Ms. Clark's statement. More specifically, based on past performance, it is my opinion that she just threw that statement out there as part of her ongoing attempt to further the 'populist' part of her grift.
