The Kinder Morgan Burnaby Backyard Surpise

Looks like Kinder Morgan's new pipeline, if it doesn't go through Burnaby Mountain just might go through the Burnaby backyards instead.

Mario Bartel of the Burnaby NewsLeader has the story. Here is his lede:

If Kinder Morgan can't build a pipeline through Burnaby Mountain, the company will run it through residential backyards on the north side of Northcliffe Crescent according to a document filed with the National Energy Board.

The proposed alternate route would run along Burnaby Mountain Parkway, Hastings Street, Cliff Avenue and then east through the Northcliffe residential area before entering the Westridge Marine Terminal...

Why should the fine folks of Burnaby, and their mayor and MP, be worried, as is outlined in Mr. Bartel's piece.

After all, it's not like Kinder Morgan has ever had backyard geyser surprises before.

And how, exactly, did Kinder Morgan become such a dominant force in British Columbia's energy infrastructure game anyway?....Well, if you cast your mind way, way back to the middle of Gordon Campbell's 'Golden Era' you may recall that the BC Utilities Commission laid the red carpet down for the former Enronians without so much as a public hearing despite the fact that 6000 British Columbians wrote letters demanding one....

Burnaby residents should examine these photos of an incident a few days ago that involved many deaths and 300 casualties.

Indeed, BC suffered in the Campbell reign of terror. I recall, Campbell twice lied and cheated to win his elections too.

I recall Campbell works for Herr Harper. That dastardly duo's dirty deeds, are the most disgusting, since Hitler.

Gordon Campbell is quite famous, for his dirty tactics. Remember? The BCR wasn't for sale. The HST wasn't on his radar either.

I forgot. I believe I read, Kinder Morgan is every bit as bad as Enbridge for pipe bursts.

The people of B.C. voted for the lieberals more than once. Now they can live with it, or in some cases die with it.
or as they say,
fooled me once, shame on you.
fooled me twice, shame on me.

The people of B.C. are getting what they voted for and thus deserve. Unfortunately there are a lot of little kids who didn't vote for them who are getting hurt.
