The Royals came to town.
And the locals booed
one of their own.
Personally, I do not think of the Monarchist League as being stuffed to the gills with rabid Dipper lovers and the poors.
Gosh.
What would Ms. Thatcher think?
"...I had the privilege of seeing Margaret Thatcher in action when I lived in Britain, as a student for a year. She is a woman who endured the most withering kinds of criticism any woman, anyone, in politics in the last 50 years has endured. But she never ever waivered. She stuck to her guns, every single day. She pulled that country back from the brink, I would argue, by sheer of will. Everyone. Around the world knew what Margaret Thatcher stood for..."
Hmmmmmm....
That payback thing, especially when it is larded up with academic tourism sauce and rancid political expediency chutney, sure is something, eh?

The Royals are celebrities, too, so, there is that.
People know that Premier Social Climber, loves to bask in reflected glory, or catch a ride on tragedy as proof of her 'realness', and it's gettin' old.
Zussman: British press asking me 'who is the lady in red who got booed'.
Correct answer: That's no lady.
Guess she didn't show enough cleavage. Hahaha. Wearing red to show our financial situation

Christy you're no Margaret Thatcher. At least she knew how to dress for the occasion. You not so much. Yes, everyone knew what Thatcher stood for and its been down hill for G.B. ever since, just like B.C. since you and the B.C. Lieberals have been elected.
Thatcher started P3 hospitals and its worked ever so well for the corporations. For the tax payers and patients not so much. guess Christy thought it would work well for her friends with corporations here.
Was Thatcher ever accused of the cronyism we see every day in Victoria?
Anon-Above asks an interesting question.
And...
It's words and deeds that matter here folks, not attire.
.
But to the masses, hair and teeth without content wins the day.
LG--
But not us, right?
.
Thanks Ros for reminding us that substance is our sustenance.
No problem Anon--
Of course, LG is right, especially given the lack of proMedia accountability 'round here.
But I honestly believe that if the folks who do the massing (of which I consider myself to be one) are fully informed of what is really going on that they/we will make better choices.
