Guns Don't Kill People...

...Doorways Do.

In the wake of the United States' 22nd mass school shooting this year...

Texas’s lieutenant governor reacted to a deadly school shooting by suggesting schools have too many doors.

“We may have to look at the design of our schools moving forward and retrofitting schools that are already built. There are too many entrances and too many exits”, Dan Patrick said during a press conference after a gunman killed at least 10 people at a high school in Santa Fe, Texas....

Yes.

You read that right.

______
And (much) more to the point....There is this.

A comment from another thread suggested that perhaps the NRA should adopt a slogan most appropriate for their organization that would read: "We send you our thoughts and our prayers"!! After all, that's all that they or the current Preznint seem to be able to offer up to all these grieving parents.

Well, some folks of a certain bent also like to pack somethin' else with them when they bring the 'prayers'.

Only a doorknob would blame the doors

Texans who elected Lt. Governor Dan Patrick also elected Rick Perry, Ted Cruz, and “W”.

I doubt the solution to the problem will be found in Texas.

There are a lot of doors in schools because if there is a fire the children can exit not burn to death. With Lt. Gov.s like the one in Texas, nothing is going to get better.

Australia recently had the first mass shooting in 22 YEARS. (family issues) They have strict gun control laws.

Connetict which has stronger gun control laws, Govenor was on t.v. recently sighting stats, which include the lower suicide rate of children in homes since their changes to gun laws. The same was seen in Australia.

What it comes down in to my opinion, is the profits of the NRA are more important to the people of Texas than their children. Nothing is going to change in the U.S.A. on a federal level. It will be up to individual states.

The news reported, that in 2018 more school children had been killed by guns than American soldiers in the war zones. What it comes down to is it is O.K. in the U.S.A. to kill children. Gun Manufacturers are more important.
