...According to records obtained by Public Eye via a freedom of information request, Pennsylvania-based After6 Services LLC. received $55,441 to setup the software powering the new "Digital Hub BC Newsroom."
Another $43,085 will go to Liberal-connected Backbone Technology Ltd. That includes the $16,685 the company has already received to design the hub and another $2,000 per month to host the site.
Backbone Technology is the same firm that has worked for the BC Liberals since 2001, setting up a private intranet for its executive, as well as the party's Website.
The company made news last month when it was disclosed the government had secretly given it a $52,746.75 contract to develop its harmonized sales tax information Website...

"generations of workers for bc shipbuliding......." from the youtube...... CC doesn't get it does she?
The federal shipbuilding contract will NOT create all of the jobs that British Columbians need, not even those jobs that might be spin-offs (or as Vancouver Port Authority likes to say Direct and Indirect).
Between two shipyards, one in Victoria's graving dock and the other on the North Shore of Burrard Inlet, there will be a total of 3,000 jobs created. Two thousand for Victoria, one thousand for North Van.
Once upon a time the reason behind the initiative of creating these government contracts was so that the workforce could be called upon, taken away from, the government jobs, to then be sent to private contracts..... LOL.
There's no such thing as private contracts now adays, other than the fact that the Washington group owns Seaspan (private contracts).
Make no mistake, there's only one winner in this Christy Clark initiative of a federal contract.. and it benefits only one contractor, not contractors...
Didn't Christy's brother Bruce work for, WMG? Which, I now understand is SeaSpan?
The BC Liberals, always pick the firms with Liberal ties for contracts, don't they? They secretly awarded firms with Liberal ties, for the pro HST campaign, did they not?
Nah, we aren't surprised by the BC Liberals corruption. We expect it.
Anons-Above--
If you so wish, you can see the Frere once (and still?) associated with WMG allegedly dropping F-bombs all over the place over at the good Mr. T's place, here.
(that's Mr. T., not Bill, of course)
