But here's the thing.

We know who Mr. Beer's sources were that led him to make his call.

How do we know this?

Because Beer told us as much:

...1,000,000 (YES votes) give or take 15%. You have to think at least half a million of the people who signed the initiative voted. No one I know signed it. But they sure as Hell voted. Voted right away too. Same as I am sure lots of other people did.....

Which has us wondering....

Given the fact that no reputable polling firm has been willing to make any public call whatsoever, is it possible that The Dean is using the same sources as Mr. Beer?

Or, is it possible that one of The Dean's charges has been reading the tea leaves by putting Mr. Beer under super-secret surveillance out at Hastings Park each weekend?

Or, could it be that someone else, someone on the inside of the goings on at either the track and/or the prov. government, has whispered in The Dean's ear?

After all, it's not as if any such insiders have ever attempted to float expectation-changing trial balloons through The Dean and/or his charges before.

Right?
