Northern Gateway...And Now A Word From 'Atmon'.

CheapAtThriceThePrice
NotVille

Christy Clark has managed to pull-off quite the PR pivot this week on the pipeline issue, aided and abetted by the newly assembled friendlies in the proMedia herd who are more than willing to carry water for her team in the oldest of old political games.

Which is to turn a can't win issue into a can't lose one now matter how things go as you play out the clock.

Of course, there are other professions that are as old, if not older than, politics.

At least one of which involves involves first establishing the fact that you are willing to be bought, for a price.

And then, only later, do you dicker over that price.

But here's the thing.....

While Ms. Clark has already established that she is willing to be bought off for a price yet to be determined, it is not entirely clear, as Karen of 'This Crowded Skin' points out, that all British Columbians are willing to sell themselves out at any price:

"So the airhead masquerading as a premier has told Alberta that the Northern Gateway Pipeline is dead unless BC gets a bunch of money.

Not as far as a whole bunch of BC'ers are concerned.

The people who spoke to the JRP here in Atmon (Almost The Middle Of Nowhere) don't want it at any price. The people who live near the route and the port don't want it at any price. Some of us have been reading the proposal, (which is too vague on too many points) and paying attention to the arguments, and attending the JRP hearings (and listening to them online, too) and even attending the protests, which if you aren't a bobblehead pretending to be a premier you know are happening all over the province.  And those of us who have actually been participating in this process (flawed as it may be) DON'T WANT IT AT ANY PRICE.

So quit telling the world we have a price. We don't."

OK?

Love that part, RossK!

Brought a bit of humour to a disgusting bit of Corporate Media drivel compliments of the "bobblehead pretending to be a premier" . . . .

However we once again get the reporters and talk shows telling us they support the pipeline . Michael Smythe masquerading as Bill Boring or Harvey at keep it real or the rest of the talking heads. As peons we don't count but it explains why we have elysse Mills on so regularly spouting propoganda. This is really getting disgusting as even NW's question of the day never gives the option of no pipeline .
