The other day a few ink-stained wretches were noting the importance of Kim Bolan to the Vancouver Sun on the Twittmachine.
Which is not something I would ever disagree with.
And then, suddenly, out of the blue, one of them, old VSun sports reporter Mike Beamish, had this to say:
Truth, that.
Obvious even.
Not that that other old sports reporter around here, the one named Ron, would ever say it, however.

Its not like they provide much in the way of news. Let them fail. If they can't get people to buy their papers, the capitalist system which they advocated for so long, would demand they not be given tax dollars to prop them up. Some of the small local chains provide the local news and for bigger stuff, well there are all sorts of websites, international news media who do a good job and not with support from our tax dollars.
