The Keef Report...You Have Not Heard This One Before.
Didn't think this would ever happen, but...
On this one I actually agree with the Keef.
Imagine that!

I've seen reasoned comments coming from Keith and one other of the Press Gallery's old boys. Vaughn Palmer has finally noticed great work by Sarah Cox and The Narwhal and has done some thinking about BC's largest ever unneeded megaproject in the Peace River valley.
When retirement-age political pundits/reporters start making sense, that sometimes causes me to rethink my own positions.
Norm--
I, too, have noticed that the Dean is starting to keep up regarding the megauneededproject.
Now, if only he could also submit the IPP situation to a little close, sustained scrutiny as well.

Fire works and dogs don't mix. Fortunately none of my dogs were ever bothered by fireworks but I knew others who were. About the best thing to do, is take the dog to the most sound proof room in the house, and get under a whole lot of quilts with the dogs and wait it out. Turning up the t.v. also works, while you're under the quilts.
Well if he likes dogs and not the fire works, there must be some good in him some where. At least its a start!
I too am glad the fireworks are over. The fireworks were going off near our house all day yesterday and my dog spent most of the day in her bed and didn't want to go outside for walks.
To @ Eleanor Gregory:
My pet husband did exactly the same thing!!!
I’ve been trying to figure out whether Keef is actually changing spots or whether he just sounds sane in comparison to Mike Smyth when he’s on ‘NW with him at ten most mornings. I see I’m not the only one wondering.
Mr. Palmer has only thrown punches from safety for the last twenty years. The caliber of local corporate media has been such that when someone like him simply states the obvious for public consumption he looks like a rebel. He’s not telling anyone who has been paying attention anything they don’t already know, but I suppose we should be happy he’s at least finally putting something of substance out to his audience.
@e.a.f. - for anyone spending time under a quilt with a scared dog I recommend this article:

omg Lew you made me laugh. Having had 4 spousal units, I'll forgive a dog anything, human spousal units not so much. Dog chews up $400 shoes, I'm O.k. with that. pupplies chewing furniture, I'm o.k. with that. Dog farts, I'm o.k. with that. Loved those dogs and two cats more than the spousal units and I grieve more for the loss of the dogs and cats than the loss of the domestic situations. Mind you, I had a former semi-feral cat move in with me that was more faithful than some domestic units. O.K. it might be said I was present for all of that, but my pets, they liked me, defended me, made me laugh. Pets are also less expensive than spousal units. No alimony, no splitting of assets. So now I'm off to read the article and waiting to see the American election results.
Will wonders never cease?
Still, what about cats and squirrels and other critters with hyper sensitive hearing?
My FB has been littered with lost dog posts ever since the big day of bangs and whistles.
S.H. here. Cheers Rossk!
De-program. With every clap of thunder, or boom of gunpowder, I gave my last three dogs something so tasty they associated extreme noise events with excellence in food. A soothing voice helps too.
Scotty--
Good point - Tree Climber Cat was not happy 'round here either.

Great to hear from you!
And a great idea, too.
