I Have The Right To Take Stuff.

SomeThingsYouDoForMoney
EighteenMillionReasonsVille

The former president of the United States sat down for a recent interview with a former Adelphi University student not named Chuck D  and had this to say about certain documents he has either known or coveted:

Hannity: I've known you for decades...I can't imagine you ever saying, 'Bring me some of the boxes that we brought back from the White House. I'd like to look at them.'...Did you ever do that?"

Trump: "I would have the right to do that...There's nothing wrong with it.

Hannity: "But I know you, I don't think you would do it."

Trump: "I don't have a lot of time, but...I would have the right to do that...I would do that...Remember this...This is the, the 'Presidential Records Act'...I have the right to take stuff...Do you know, I think they paid Richard Nixon eighteen million dollars for what he had."

In other words, it's always about the money where a certain former president of the United States is concerned.

_____
Unlike
Chuck D, the good Mr. Sean Hannity never graduated from Adelphi University, a commuter school in Long Island New York, not to mention the other two post-secondary institutions he attended.
Ear worm buried in the sub-header machinery?....This.

The juxtaposition of your post Ross is;

In the interview with Hannity trump is lying, Hannity knows he is lying, but still pump it out to the fox viewers because if they don’t, those viewers will go to another station to hear what they want to hear. Hannity et.al. have very low opinions ( being diplomatic) of trump and the fox audience, clearly shown by the release of internal fox texts and e-mails and other communications from all levels of management and personalities during the ongoing Dominion Voting machines case.

So agreed it’s always about the money as we have seen since trump came down the escalator when fund raising for a presidential candidate was the done thing especially when they became the nominee, but all these years on they all should know who transactional trump is, doesn’t give a toss about who he hardly knows, gets thrown under the urban transport, ends up convicted, lives or dies, loses their law licence, etc. etc.

But he and his gofers still send out fundraising e-mails at every opportunity, is raking it in non-stop especially now whilst under the state court, so at one point we could say it was about him and money, but I think the landscape has changed to; it’s about those that keep sending it to him. Given who he is and who is followers are, why wouldn’t he continue fundraising, and grabbing every penny he can.?

In defence of Nixon, he had more then one tie.

Keith--

It seems that the key to the 'worth' of something for the former fellow is whether you can put a price tag on that thing.

And an excellent point about the fundraising/grift-driven aspect of this play...In point of fact they have likely far surpassed that $18 million that Mistah Nixongot, even factoring inflation, and an 8 to nothing trouncing by the Supremes that, if he could get something like that, the former fellow could make fundraising bank on from now until the end of John Roberts' reign (which, of course, will never happen given the bought-and-paid for condition of the current Supremecists).
