We spent the last weekend of our summer holidays in the Ballard district of Seattle.
Amongst the Swedes and the canals and the street fairs and the kids returning for college.
And we spent it with our good friends F. & L., who utilize a pre-dinner Cinq-A-Sept happy hour better than anyone we know.
Upshot...
A great time was had by all.
And it was the last bit of real fun, especially the busking with E. in the leafy late-summer heat, I've had since then.
I've just been so darned busy running as fast as I can to try and stand still the last couple of months that I haven't had time for much free-wheeling fun at all, including this throwing stuff up at this place and, worse, making music.
Anyway, don't cry for me Argentina, because most of the time I like what I do.
I really, really do.
And this early Sunday morning in late October I'm sitting in YVR getting ready to climb into the cigar tube one last time this fall.
Which means that it's just about time to start paying attention to the news and the Snooklandians, and Pointy and Gregor, and all that obvious stuff again.
Be back, and hopefully back at it, in a few days....Here's something to tide you all over if you choose to punch it up (a little different vibe - was Zimmerman making fun of the Boss' method, or was it homage?):

off topic: Your bloggdome lists Legal Schnauzer, Roger Schuler's blog. A year ago he was beaten, arrest, tossed in jail for 5 months. Well he got out, somewhat recovered, and is once again blogging about corruption in Alabama. Some of those he blogged about, have been charged, with corruption and are even going to trial.
Now International Business Times, has an article: Seven Controversial Figures of Internet Freedom. Along with the usual case of characters, there is Roger Schuler. He was the only journalist in the western hemisphere to be in jail for reporting, this year.
Who says bloggers can't report the truth. Who says bloggers can't scare corrupt politicians.
Thanks for update eaf--
I had reason to follow Mr Schuler awhile back given his reportage regarding Casino-Industrial-Shenanigans down that way.
I'll head over to have a look.

Kool tune, safe trip, happy return.
Thanks Scotty--
Working on the electrical sounds more.
And getting ready to buy a new guitar in that vein...

that is why some of them were arrested, on corruption charges, etc. Money from tribal leaders to push non tribal leaders out of the casino business.
Turns out there is so much money to be made and that doesn't even get into "laundering"
There are allegations the First Nations paid a lot of money to Alabama politicians to close down non First Nation's casinos. One involved a small town where the mayor had changed the town constitution to permit gambling. He saw it as a way to increase funding for the city. I think its Tuskety. First Nations casino's didn't like it. The Attorney General, Luther Strange, closed the casino down.
Of course in Alabama nothing is complete without a Federal Judge beating his wife, while drunk and getting to keep his position, but does have to go to rehab for 24 wks.
In the NFL YOU get fired/suspended for wife beating, in Alabama, federal judges get to keep their jobs.
I have continued to read Legal Schnauzer because Alabama like B.C. has coal, casinos, and corruption. Its an education.
Now with impending federal law, here in Canada, bloggers may join the ranks of "terrorists" as defined by the Conservatives. We know how that turned out in Alabama, beaten, arrested, 5 months in jail.
