Stephen Ross is a billionare who sells a fitness lifestyle to progressive-ish folks through his companies Equinox and SoulCycle.
These folks are now mad at him because he's holding a big money fundraiser for Donald Trump.
Mr. Ross has responded with a statement that 'explains' his position:
...“I have known Donald Trump for 40 years, and while we agree on some issues, we strongly disagree on many others and I have never been bashful about expressing my opinions,” Ross said. “I have been, and will continue to be, an outspoken champion of racial equality, inclusion, diversity, public education and environmental sustainability, and I have and will continue to support leaders on both sides of the aisle to address these challenges.”...
Which brings us to the good Docktor's thoughts on the matter...

Enabling Trump and championing of racial equality, inclusion, diversity, public education, and environmental sustainability are mutually exclusive activities.
Anyone purporting to do both is either delusional or lying.
Lew is correct.
This guy is only interested in making money and receiving larger tax breaks. that is why in my opinion, he supports Trump, you can not support Trump and be honestly promoting a health life style. What Ross is doing is making money off of people who like a health life style. People who continue to do business with Ross are, saying, they want to be "healthy" but those in cages can die for all they care. Using Ross's businesses, is not a necessity, its a luxury, an interest. Ross's customers are making a deliberate decision to provide him with money with which he can support Trump and the Republicans. If he continues to support Trump and the Republicans, he is o.k. with concentration camps, family seperation, causing children and adults to die in these camps.
If any one every wonders how the Nazi's came to power in Germany, NOW YOU KNOW. Business was only interested in business, not in the Jews and Gypsies who were being murdered.
When you provide financial resources to people like Trump and those who support them, you are in fact supporting concentration camps for kids, family separation, racism, white supremacy.
People in Germany in the 1930s didn't want to make a decision and we saw how that turned out. The same will be repeated in the U.S.A.
It would be a good idea if some of the cities simply refused to give Ross's companies business licenses to operate. Ross may win in court, but at least the cities took a stand. One could say Ross is supporting terrorism, white nationalists are terrorists and if you support them in any way, well we know CISIS goes after those who support TERRORISTS of other colours for financing terrorism in other countries.
so my question is why would Canadians support white nationalist who donate to a terrorist, namely Donald trump. Don't care what Ross calls himself, in my opinion, he financially supports white nationalism which is a form of terrorism. Get the scum out of our country.
