What's In A Number?

From the good folks at the MoCo...

Hmmmm...

This morning when I rode across town towards the place where I work out on the pointy bit of grey at the far western edge of Lotusland I noticed that regular had been jacked to $1.52 per litre at the two stations at the corner of Oak and King Edward.

Then, when I rode back while chasing the returning crows early this evening the same stations were selling the same product for $1.39.

Explain that!

$1.349 here in North Burnaby. Just capitalism hard at work, Ross, finding that perfect price point so we don't have to do the hard work!

Thanks Mike--

I wonder if there is any other location in North America that has these ridiculous daily ups and down on prices at every single pump?

Every electric car sold means one less customer for the gas stations.

Hugh, that maybe true, but we will most likely always need oil because its just not our vehicles its used in. Oil is every where, in our meds, cloths, furniture, etc.

In my opinion, we need to bring the oil/gas industry to heel and take into account the earth is not an inexhaustible source of money for them and they need to be required to operate like many other businesses do, like follow the rules and the rules need to favour society as a whole. We also need to change the laws in Canada, so if a land owner does not want drilling on their property, it doesn't happen.

Whenever the gas companies lower the price in one area, it goes up in another. It keeps those which the lower price happy for a few days or weeks and then when the other area starts to make too much noise they get a "break". If however, you looked at the amount of money the companies make over all, its steady as they go. Its all a game the gas industry plays with the consumers. Prices do not rise and fall in a matter of a few hrs. in one area. Nothing has changed not even the gas. I'd prefer a two week notice period for price changes for gas and have it reviewed like other things such as electricity, etc.

$1.41.9 here, and collusion is rampant! e.a.f. hemp can make plastics. Also GasBuddy is not our friend.
