Marie Yovanovitch, the former US ambassador to Ukraine, has given a devastating account of the state department in “crisis” saying “the policy process is visibly unravelling” and the agency is being “hollowed” out.
Yovanovitch, who was addressing the house committees holding impeachment hearings, also delivered an indictment of “the failure of state department leadership to push back as foreign and corrupt interests apparently hijacked our Ukraine policy”...

...She spoke about feeling undermined and threatened as the president’s son Donald Trump Jr, and Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, spread smears against her.
“If our chief representative is kneecapped, it limits our effectiveness to safeguard the vital national security interests of the United States,” she said. “Our Ukraine policy has been thrown into disarray, and shady interests the world over have learned how little it takes to remove an American ambassador who does not give them what they want,” Yovanovitch added...

Saw the title and reminded me of "now its your turn to cry". My turn to cry, good voice and drummer. Reminds me of meat loaf.
Ms. Yovanovitch's testimony is true and this is what Putin wanted to achieve and he has. dtrump is doing his bidding. Rick Perry, did dtrump's bidding and his financial supporters picked up a nice deal for oil/gas drilling rights. Welcome to the U.S.A. more corrupt than most corrupt dictatorships, you remember, the countries dtrump referred to as "shit hole" countries. Well the U.S.A. is now an official "shit hole" country, with a shit head as a president.
Even with all of this testimony, dtrump will not be removed by the Senate and he won't go willingly, because if he goes, he might go to jail. On the other hand, he may not go, because he'll pull a Xi/Putin/Erdogen, etc. Its why I believe he "pardoned" the American military war criminals. He wants the armed forces to support him, when he refuses to leave.
This is not going to end well. Not for the Americans and not for us and Mexico who sit right on the border.
