What If Al Capone Had Convinced America That Tax Evasion Is Not A Crime?

From Daniel Porazzo's chronology of the Capone trial:

****
So.

What's it all about this time Alfie?

Well, Amanda Marcotte notes the ways in which it appears that the prosecutor in the Stormy Daniels capture and kill hush money (and then claim the cost as a legal expense, allegedly) case looks to be vacillating in the face of the usual suspect's social media bombast that has been backed (and massively amplified) by wall-to-wall CorpMedia coverage:

...What’s frustrating is there’s reason to worry (District Attorney Alvin) Bragg is balking (at indicting Donald Trump). Despite all his chest-thumping about how he won’t be intimidated, Bragg is suddenly finding all sorts of reasons not to move forward to indictment. First he canceled the Wednesday grand jury meeting. Then, when they reconvened, he pivoted to another, unrelated case, pausing the hush money inquiry, quite possibly indefinitely...

Only time, and the rampaging herd of rabid cable news network 'legal experts', will tell I suppose.

_____
Who the heckfire is Mabel Walker Willebrandt, you may be asking?....Well, in the roaring twenties, back when mobsters ruled the US'ian prohibition roost with machine guns and bomb-backed impunity, Ms. Walker was the Assistant Attorney General known as 'Prohibition Portia' who came up with the quite successful 'follow the (taxable) money' strategy...Her life story is really something.

This clown show will continue indefinitely, how many bombshells drop about opening indictments for Mr. Trump, he's even doing it himself and gotta say, brilliantly played by someone who's allegedly a moron. The entire media complex followed his instruction in lock-step and pushed aside many much more important stories that embarrass the rich and entitled. The hush money case will go nowhere, the Georgia case, will go nowhere and the stolen documents case will go nowhere. What will happen is that stupid people will continue to send him money and likely elect him president through their joke of a system, the electoral college and he will be inaugurated in January of 2025, that's if he lives long enough. Freaking you out. Me too.
Its possible and it is hard to know what will happen in the U.S.A. given some of the crazy laws they are passing regarding what may be taught in schools and the inability for women to have the health care some of them need.

Of course Desantos is just as crazy and more dangerous than trump because Desantos actualy knows how government works. Trump is too caught up in himself.

The Democrats don't seem to have a plan B in case Biden exits stage left

Always got a good laugh out of how they were able to deal with Capone.

My take on it is they won't proceed with things against Trump because they aren't sure what could happen in the country. They all have guns. In Israel and France, they protest ,but the government does't have to worry about idiots wanting to shoot and kill the opposition.
