It would appear that the fine folks at WarnerBros.Discovery, Inc. that run a certain cable news network have decided that it's 2015 all over again.

The news long ago became little more than entertainment, and CNN is providing advertisers with eyeballs. Trump lovers and haters both watched the spectacle, and the rest of the news media splashes the CNN name and logo around in their coverage. Besides, business leaders and plutocrats have always preferred fascistic governments to the alternative. Licht is giving the people what they want - a twice-impeached, lying, defaming, sexually assaulting conman.
"The clerk who is thrown out of work
By the boss who is thrown for a loss
By the skirt who is doing him dirt
The world is a stage; the stage is a world of entertainment!"
If this is what CNN feels it must do to improve ratings, then its time to get out of the business. Mind you Fox did O.K. with this type of junk.
Couldn't watch it. Channel surfed through the after show which was supposed to be some sort of Analysis. Who ever thought this up ought to be fired. Junk, Junk, Junk.
Trump fans might have liked it, but it is doubtful it gained him any future voters. He came across even more deranged than he has been in the past.
A.O.C. had it right, they knew what they were getting putting trump in a room full of his supporters. This is planned weeks ahead and trump will know what the questions will be and who will be asking them. Kaitlin Collins was a perfect match. But straight after the E. Jean Carroll verdict what a stroke of luck for eyeballs on the screen, but at what cost.?

To the credit of CNN in the ongoing post mortem ( in the parts I’ve seen) they didn’t try to sugar coat the fact it was a never ending session of lies and playing to the crowd of trumpers. Some of the hosts weren’t comfortable by what had occurred.

MSNBC weren’t quite so charitable right after the sponsored gin up the base and fund raise at the expense of CNN, but soon moved on to issues of how do you interview and question someone that lies continually. ? It was pointed out that all trump had to do was keep talking, lying and after numerous futile attempts for an answer to an opened question that he could knock out of the park and get a laugh from the audience, K. Collins moved on to the next question, with the same results.
The takeaway from that was to ask him along the lines of, “this person, that person under oath, and 60 failed lawsuits all come to the conclusion the election wasn’t rigged, but you still maintain it was, what proof do you have.? Not in a live town hall setting but in one where he can be fact checked. Well good luck, not a chance he would agree to that. MSNBC noted trump had been nailed in interviews by Jonathan Swan of Axios, Jake Tapper and Chris Wallace both of CNN, probably that’s why Kaitlin Collins got the gig.
On the plus side, teevee lawyers for CNN and MSNBC were of the same opinions trump had dug the holes deeper in his legal woes, and the democrats have massive material for campaign ads.
