...The Really Important Questions.
Remember this, from last week:
That was the good Mr. Baldrey explaining why only he and his should be allowed to ask the questions at online provincial government presser's because it was they who would make sure all the important information got out to the public in the best way possible.
Well...
Apparently, in the theatre of his own mind at least, the Keef made sure to do just that at today's COVID-19 update:
Sheesh.

Not sure where or why Keef goes “all over Twitter”. He must have most in the Twitterverse blocked by now.

Pretty sure that the Keef would luv for us to think of him as the Al Waxman of the bcpoli Twittverse.
Or some such thing.

Helmet-Head as expert on all things to all people. Whenever one of these folks in whatever news (entertainment, deflection) organizations trots out the what-you-need-to-know tripe/trope, the red light goes on and I can't help but think: What little you want me to think I know. Might be an idea to transplant a bicycle tire valve to the back of Baldrey's neck so we can deflate the ego from time to time.
Danneau, made me laugh, thank you, even before I drank the coffee.
One could say serious journalists don't do twitter, but then, they all do, but if that is the source of your information as a "serious" journalist, yikes!
If I'm not mistaken, the Keith used to be a red head or a colour close to that, and I always had a theory about males with red/redish hair........
In my opinion, Keith is most likely parroting his employer's line. Some of the bloggers, in North American, are some of the best journalist/reporters on the Continent. They dig out more information, give others more time on their blogs than any "legacy" press organization on the Continent. Some of those bloggers have died, some still work--Norm Farrell, RossK, Laila Yuile. IF you go south of the border, Empty Wheel, Legal Schnauzzer have broken more stories about corruption, politics, etc than the "legacy" press. Without blogs, we would be a less informed people. Without information you don't have a functioning democracy. Some blogs get the information out there more quickly than the "legacy press". What the "legacy press" may be concerned about is some of the blogs run advertising and that is taking away from their source of income. There are those of us who comment on blogs, but there are tens of thousands who read and don't comment. A lot of the "legacy press", politicians, corporations would rather the bloggers and "small press" would go away, but that won't be happening any time soon.
China has gone to some lengths to stop bloggers, because that is how the truth gets out and about in that country. One could conclude Keith and those he represents might be thinking along the same lines. When I look back on the B.C. Lieberals and federal Conservatives reigns, if it hadn't been for bloggers the public might never have known what those two governments had been up to.
Some blogs are supported by readers. People are paying to keep them on line. Not a lot are purchasing newspapers these days.
Sorry Anon-Above--
Realize there is certainly a 'sun is over the yard arm' correlation with a number of problematic posts, but I don't believe it is fair to make an accusation like that on that correlative basis alone.
