Jim Acosta interviewed some of the attendees at this superspreader, and their take indicates a lack of the insight necessary to register irony.

There is much punditorial comment lately suggesting that the humiliation felt by these folks when ridiculed by smug left-wingers for similar displays explains their anger and motivation. They’ll take every chance, even to the point of obvious self-harm, to “own the libs”. Especially when prompted in the slightest by Trump.
Not only is irony dead to them; so is rational discourse.
The scary question is how far will they go if he loses.
