It may have nothing whatsoever to do with weather, but I'm betting it will show up down the road, post indictment, particularly when it comes to the actions of one of the previously immunized National Enquirer Bros.

Moreover, Section 3182 of the US Criminal Code (known as Title 18) states that the “executive authority” of a state where a fugitive is residing is presented with an indictment from another state, he or she shall “cause him to be arrested and secured,” notify the authority demanding the fugitive, and “shall cause the fugitive to be delivered” to agents of the executive making the demand, usually police officers from the state where the fugitive is facing charges.”
The Karen McDougal issue has been lurking in the weeds for a while, she gave a couple of interviews years ago and then nothing. I think she will appear as the punditry has been mostly Stormy, but with the amount of time and resources put into this after the on again off again process, it won’t just be about Stormy, Karen and some dodgy bookkeeping. Anything further for Karen M. and the Enquirer catch and kill not sure, statute of limitations,??

The American politic has morphed into a 17th century monarchy, where senior politicians have become Kings and court, all above the law.
My understanding is that Trump took politcal donations to hush the porn star and if it were his own money, no problem, but I digress.
In the excited states it seems divine rule is now in play and the president can do as he wishes, which makes today's American presidents far more royal, that the Royal house of Hannover, which the revolted states seceded from the UK in 1776.
Either the rule of law is for all or there is no rule of law at all.

Pecker and American Media Inc/National Enquirer acted as the middlemen for the K. McDougal catch and kill, that came before the S. Daniels wash and repeat...The difference in the latter case was that Pecker et al. said no....So, what scared them off?

I fear you may be right.
Especially given that the former guy is, essentially, calling for no rule of law at all and the corpMedia folks can't quite bring themselves to say it. Meanwhile, the entire GOP, including the so-called reasonable ones like Chuck Grassley, are trumpeting Trump's call.

I’m sure that is one of the many questions Pecker has been asked in his visits to the grand jury. Although they had been running negative stories about Clinton and pumping trump throughout the campaign I wonder if the legal folks at the enquirer said no on this one foreseeing getting caught in a conspiracy and getting it right..??. Trumps justice dept. nailed M. Cohen and the case against individual 1 was “closed”
On another subject Ross re; the previous posts covid and harassment. I’m not usually lost for words and on these issues I wasn’t, however they were unprintable.
Saddened and angry.
