Headline Of The Week...

HowThePressCanEffectivelyDealWith
LiarsVille

The following is from an opinion piece by Matthew Harper in STAT News:

...“There are adverse events from the (measles) vaccine,” (Robert F.) Kennedy (Jr.) said in a March 11 interview with Fox’s Sean Hannity. “It does cause deaths every year. It causes — it causes all the illnesses that measles itself causes, encephalitis and blindness, et cetera. And so people ought to be able to make that choice for themselves.”

The Infectious Disease Society of America says there have been “no deaths related to the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine in healthy individuals.” (Since the 1970s, the measles vaccine has been given in a combination shot with mumps and rubella to minimize the number of injections kids get.)...

And the headline above the piece?

This:

RFK Jr. says measles vaccine routinely causes deaths. That’s not true.

A good one, no?

Do wonder if Kennedy believes what he is peddling or its just a way to make money and have a "career". Its not like he has ever displayed much talent for anything unlike others of his generation in their family,.
The press, in all its forms, is not performing well at all on this subject and there aren't a lot of people rushing to set the public straight. No public announcements, etc regarding the reality.
Wonder how the public will react when the dying increases and it looks something like COVID did. Wonder if anyone will be sued. Wonder if any one will be arrested. Wonder if any laws will change.

Metabiota, one of five main partners implementing the $200 million USAID-funded PREDICT virus-hunting project that concluded in 2019, had safety and data quality lapses, according to documents obtained by U.S. Right to Know.

The San Francisco-based firm describes itself as a government and private industry partner specializing in pandemic prediction and mitigation. However, documents from 2017 show that its biosafety and data quality protocols in at least five countries may have been inadequate.

The documents further suggest a history of biosafety and data problems. A previous investigation by the Associated Press of the 2014 West African Ebola outbreak uncovered diagnostic errors, poor biosafety practices, and a lack of sample tracking. As a result, Metabiota withdrew a project coordinator who reportedly disregarded standard biosafety practices, and a WHO outbreak expert recommended shutting down a diagnostic lab Metabiota shared with Tulane. Eventually, the CDC took control of the lab.

Metabiota has also been in the news recently for receiving funding from the investment firm Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners (now called Pilot Growth Equity) where President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden appeared to work until 2015,
