Door Closes, Firmly, For Local Opportunist...

Interesting.

Here's what the fine folks at the Hill Times said based upon their reading the tea leaves/whispers of anonymous sources last week:

...According to Liberal sources who spoke to The Hill Times last week, if Clark decides to run as a federal Liberal, party officials are considering three potential B.C. ridings for her: Fleetwood-Port Kells, Vancouver Quadra, and Vancouver South. These seats have opened up following announcements from incumbents Ken Hardie, Joyce Murray, and Harjit Sajjan that they will not seek re-election.

Senior Liberals are encouraging the former premier to run in Fleetwood-Port Kells, as the other two ridings are considered safe. The Liberals comfortably won the riding—which encompasses parts of Surrey and Greater Vancouver—in the last three elections. It was previously held by Conservative Nina Grewal from 2004 to 2015...

Gosh.

Does this latest development mean that, in the end, the Carneyiacks didn't offer up a safe seat to the good Ms. Clark?

It sure will be interesting to see if anyone with the initials MM did any polling in and around Fleetwood-Port Kells don'cha think?

_____
Regardless the true driver
of this latest development, the ultimate outcome means that reader EE was right, dare I say it....'Again'.

Wonderful news.

I gather there was considerable blow-back from the announcement that Chinese asset, Gregor Robinson was running, from locals and after reading some very vehement postings in the various blogs, I would think that Clark was told by the Carney folks, "Thanks but no thanks".

Evidently the Conservatives don't want her either.

Looks like at least a few FedLibs on the ground in South Surrey got their backs up when they got wind of a potential parachute coming as well.

Let's all sing out!

Ding-dong! The Witch is dead
Which old Witch? The Wicked Witch!
Ding-dong! The Wicked Witch is dead
Wake up, you sleepy head
Rub your eyes, get out of bed
Wake up, the Wicked Witch is dead
She's gone where the goblins go
Below, below, below
Yo-ho, let's open up and sing and ring the bells out
Ding-dong, the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low
Let them know the Wicked Witch is dead!

If the libs didn’t offer her a safe seat it was a good move. One of the political yak shows last week noted her B.C. favourables are a bit shaky, only have to look at her provincial seat election results records. Can’t blame the Carney crew not wanting to take a chance on a slam dunk when every seat matters with someone that held a conservative membership.

If she wants to help the liberals, go door to door knocking for the conservatives.

Thank you for passing on the good news. The NDP and Cons would have had a field day asking about her days as Premier. Sitting in Parliament doing not much if any thing is not what we need. She can find employment else where. don't trust her at all.

According to "sources" ...Higher ups in the Lib Party saw Christy Clark as too divisive and believe shed drive away potential NDP votes....The higher ups in the party are expecting, and wanting NDP voters.

Thus they squeezed CC into a tight corner and only offered up lost cause CPC ridings.

Most BC NDPers remember the sour taste Christy Clark left in their mouth....Carney n company aren't taking any votes for granted...
Like I said before.....This election is oh so different, traditional voters of all parties are voting for national strength....And that national strength vortex leads to Carney's Liberal Party.

Outside of a major self blunder by Carney......This one is over.

Marc Carney and a Liberal Majority....Bank it.

Ken Hardie, Joyce Murray, and Harjit Sajjan that they will not seek re-election.
I bet they are kicking themselves now!
