That's The Way The Cookie Dough Bounces.

Well, well, well....Whadd'ya know:

****

So.

What does this mean in terms of the actual politics (as opposed to Cookie Dough Mike giving J. Byrne et al., double middle digits way, way, way up).

Well, if Mr de Jong significantly cuts into the Con vote and peels away a chunk of low info former BC Liberal types...

...Dr. Beer might be jumping' for joy as he hits the phones again.

_______
Cookie Dough Mike?

Anon-Above--

Here's hoping.

Of course, in reality, if the Carneyiak surge holds, what CD Mike is likely really doing is snatching victory from the Cons and handing it to the FedLibs.

The thing about this is that de Jong was rejected by the Conservatives, even though he called in markers from former civic and provincial politcans. Maybe being associated with Gordon Campbell's BC Liberals which was a front for a Pre-Trumpian Maple MAGA's.

Somehow de Jong wronged far too many people, which is a death sentence in the politcal world.

This is nothing more than an attack on the "Wee P's" Trumpian Maple Maga Conservative party. If he takes about a third of the Maple MAGA vote and the Liberals capitalize on a lot of NDP types voting for them, an upset is in the air.

I hope the Liberals are not too loud with their jubilation, cuz it just isn't sporting.

Just a note, Trump's announced 25% tariffs on auto imports will, I think seal the deal for the Liberals, unless Carney starts speaking tongues and goes on an anti windmill tantrum like we saw today! Oh the whales, the whales...................

the guy is certainly persistent, but why. It can't be because he is so qualified or perhaps he has delusions of his own abilities. It is entertaining. If he were bored he could volunteer somewhere, but no he wants to be an M.P. Strange. Oh, well perhaps he needs the money. wonder if Christy is going to run as an independent also.

Crazy world when we may be thanking Ding Dong De Jong for splitting the vote.

Appropriate nickname! Ding Dongs, like Twinkies are still edible (for some people) long past their best before dates!

Off topic Ross, but you can’t make this up no matter how hard you try.

EE--

It's amazing how fast the harum-scarum strategy against all things culturally progressive and climate protective goes up in once a real threat comes along.

Regarding Mr. de Jong, I'm not so sure it's that he's 'wronged' too many folks of the hard-Con variety. I think that, instead, the real concern is that he might push back a little against said Con and that is something the current braintrust clearly do not want.

NVG--

I ascribe no mal intent to Mr. deJong's agent.

However, the matter of shifting surname consonants reminds me of the old days of GordCo 1.0 when a certain fine fellow who once lobbied that out outfit and who was earlier dubbed 'Spiderman' due to his alleged inter-office acrobatics during a certain FedLib leadership campaign, suddenly added an extra 'n' to his own surname during the final days of Railgate.

eaf--

Why?

Because he thinks he can win.

And that's the difference between Mr. de Jong and Mr. Clark, in terms of their interactions with the different parties that ultimately shunned them.

The Cons dumped a candidate that can win because they don't want to have to deal with him when he does win.

In contrast, it would appear that the Libs dumped a candidate that they think can't win, at least not in a competitive riding.

Interestingly, this type of nuanced tea leaf reading does not seem to be of interest to the fine folks in the Lotuslandian corpMedia.

Crazy, mixed up bedfellowed political world of strangeness, indeed, Chuck.

Thanks Keith!

It's not clear to me if all of the upstanding preachers object to Ms. White's grift or if they just don't like the fact that she is a woman.

I think the upstanding preachers object to Mrs. White because they never got in on the action before her, and are doomed to fleecing the flock with the presidential endorsement.

Ahhhhh....Got it Keith.

Otherwise known as 'grift envy'?
