The United States has asked Denmark and other European nations if they can export eggs as Americans face surging egg prices, the Nordic country’s egg association said on Friday.
The request from the US Department of Agriculture coincides with a raft of new US tariffs on countries, including in Europe, and the threat of more.
Donald Trump has also threatened economic sanctions unless Denmark hands over control of Greenland to the US, and said this week that he thought the US would eventually annex it – despite its status as an autonomous territory of Denmark, a member of the European Union...
Or some such thing.

Saw something in an article I was reading a few days ago, that Trump had asked other countries to export eggs to the U.S.A. In parts of the U.S.A. eggs are expensive. Might be a few corporations taking advantage of the situation.

If trump makes a grab for Panama, Canada and Greenland that would be a 3 faced war. Trump might find at that point he won't have the armed forces to fight anything. boy Musk has led people to think he maybe heading over to Social security to start cuts there. At that point it may all end for Musk, Trump, etc. Heggie wants to turn the American armed forces into a force which would ignore the game rules for war. About that time some one is going to get pissed and one or more of those people may find their passion projects come to .end as they themselves will Trump has pissed off the head Supreme Court Justice. Wonder if some one is going to arrest Musk if he continues to ignore decisions by the courts. Do think this could all be over by June
The problem in the USA is "Bird Flu" and the inability of American agriculture to deal with it. Canada and the EU Nations have far more stricter regulations. As the Egg for Breakfast is an American tradition there is a huge daily demand for eggs.
The Americans, if they realize it (and many don't) the egg shortage is the "shape of things to come", as Trump MAGA purists are dismantling any and all central authority for inspections, etc.
From one of the quotes i have read on-line from a "fact-checked" source, if the current tariff trade war, combined with a lack of any coherent agriculture policy, may see food shortages in the USA within three years.
This is not to say that there will be no food, rather it means that the "eggy breakfast" or "egg and bacon" style fast food breakfasts may be a thing of the past.
Presently the most smuggled item from Canada to the USA is eggs! The last price check (from my sister in-law in South Seattle) was USD $12.95 a dozen at Costco.
If the USA actually takes a more militant stand against Canada in the near future and i think Trump is planning this (well not Trump but the cabal running Trump), may well be called the Egg War, started by a rotten egg!
