It's raining in Lotusland in mid-June.
Which is a good thing because the more precipitation we get now the fewer fires we will (hopefully) have in August.
This tune is one of Willie Nelson's most famous and it wasn't even written by him, which is a little weird given that Nelson was better known as songwriter before he hit it big as a performer...

Image at the top of the post is of Fred Rose and Roy Acuff who helped to first forge the legitimate side of the Nashville songwriting business coin...It was Rose who wrote 'Blue Eyes Cryin' and it was Acuff who first recorded it in 1945 thirty years before the red headed stranger.
