By now, you may have heard that former Canadian Alliance Party Leader Stockwell Day was recently seen to be shooting off his mouth on COVID vaccine side effects:
However, what you may have missed is Mr. Day's down thread tweet on his visit to the Big Apple for 'meetings' in which he questioned vaccine effectiveness:
Gosh.
Does not Mr. Day know that, if not for vaccines, he would never have made that trip or had those meetings?
The Associated Press explains:
Nearly all COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. now are in people who weren’t vaccinated, a staggering demonstration of how effective the shots have been and an indication that deaths per day — now down to under 300 — could be practically zero if everyone eligible got the vaccine.
An Associated Press analysis of available government data from May shows that “breakthrough” infections in fully vaccinated people accounted for fewer than 1,200 of more than 853,000 COVID-19 hospitalizations. That’s about 0.1%.
And only about 150 of the more than 18,000 COVID-19 deaths in May were in fully vaccinated people. That translates to about 0.8%, or five deaths per day on average...
Then again, if Mr. Day can make the Niagara Falls flow the wrong way, maybe he can magically make pandemics disappear as well.

Or some such thing.

It’s a safe bet Mr. Day was not in New York for meetings connected to any of his roles as a strategic adviser to the law firm McMillan LLP, a CBC commentator, or a member of the board of directors at Telus. He had to resign all those gigs due to his publicly-expressed belief that there is no systemic racism in Canada. He went on to compare the teasing he took at school for wearing glasses to the racism experienced by others.
It’s also a safe bet that he did not attend an Indian residential school.
Stockwell Day:
"My heart truly goes out to every one who has lost a loved one to Covid." (therefore those that don't have a loved one are sent Day's liver?)
"I don't personally know anyone who has died of Covid but it now seems almost daily I hear of somebody I personally know who has either died (KNEW, dead people don't call especially ... Day) " .. or had a first-time-ever serious health incident after getting vax." sigh ... (INTENSIVE CARE UNITS don't permit incoming calls especially if there's even a whiff of politics involved, eg. Day's last chance fundraiser)
Judging by the lies he must be in NY to visit the former mayor who has a similar habit. Maybe to commiserate with him on his recent suspension from practicing law. People that say those kinds of things should be held to account. Most would know he’s full of it but there’s always a few that eat that stuff up. What possible reason could Doris have to spread such bunk?
