Cause, via last Tuesday's Tennessean:
The Tennessee Department of Health will halt all adolescent vaccine outreach – not just for coronavirus, but all diseases – amid pressure from Republican state lawmakers, according to an internal report and agency emails obtained by the Tennessean. If the health department must issue any information about vaccines, staff are instructed to strip the agency logo off the documents.
The health department will also stop all COVID-19 vaccine events on school property, despite holding at least one such event this month. The decisions to end vaccine outreach and school events come directly from Health Commissioner Dr. Lisa Piercey, the internal report states.
Additionally, the health department will take steps to ensure it no longer sends postcards or other notices reminding teenagers to get their second dose of the coronavirus vaccines. Postcards will still be sent to adults, but teens will be excluded from the mailing list so the postcards are not “potentially interpreted as solicitation to minors,” the report states...

3 'link gremlins' before Tennessean
Again I find myself speechless. The trumpification of anything that is in the vicinity of Covid, common sense, helping or watchful out for others
is expanding. The anger I feel towards those that perpetrate these actions or inactions can get to a level I find uncomfortable.
I find a bicycle ride can be helpful or going out and seeing people being good to each other.
I can’t understand how a government at any level can get away with that kind of stuff.
Meanwhile why the state puts out the spin.

Given more Republicans seem to not want vaccines than Democrats it might work for the Dems. Lots of dead Republicans means they can't vote. Of course a lot of young people may die and that is not going to be a good thing. wonder what the government of Tenn. has against teenagers. they are the future tax payers of the State. On the other hand, I suspect this will impact low income teenagers and those of colour, which will work for the Republicans every time. Its a sort of getting rid of the oppositions slowly but surely.
We can only hope some organizations start spreading the "news" like athletes, sports teams, entertainers, etc.
