Is The Tide Washing Away Tony Fauci's Line In The Sand?
Earlier, we noted that Tony Fauci appeared to have drawn a line in the sand just yesterday:
Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert and a central figure in the government’s response to the coronavirus, plans to deliver a stark warning to the Senate on Tuesday: Americans would experience “needless suffering and death” if the country opens up prematurely...
Today, it appears that said line might be washing away:
...Dr. Fauci on Monday said he would tell the panel that there could be “needless suffering and death” if the country opens prematurely, but steered clear of that language during the early part of the hearing, instead saying, “the consequences could be really serious.” Mr. Trump has pushed for states to reopen and at times has encouraged people to defy governors’ orders...
Sheesh.

I remember a story about a dustpan who used to follow the elephants and horses in the parade. When asked why he spent his life scooping up poop, the dust man said he didn’t want to give up his life in show business!

It looks likes the good Dr. Fauci's scooper is growing in size exponentially by the day.
Don't get me wrong - I have immense respect for his scientific judgement and I know that he is walking a very wobbly, thin tightrope while he scoops up all that poop. It's just that, at a certain point, all that scooping enables the elephant's actions.

Yea, that part of his response was a bit toned down, but in other cases he was bang on, also making rand paul look particularly petty.
Mitt Romney was a star turn. Very eloquently via Faucci dispelling the myth of Obama not having a vaccine and nailing the un-admirable Admiral Giroir on him next to trump in the previous dog and pony show pumping up the amount of testing, both claimed by trump.
