As the United States continues its advance toward 100,000 coronavirus deaths, a grim milestone the country is expected to reach in the coming days, President Trump and members of his administration have begun questioning the official coronavirus death toll, suggesting the numbers are inflated.
Most experts say the opposite is likely the case.
In White House meetings, conversations with health officials have returned to similar suspicions: that the data compiled by state health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention include people who have died with the coronavirus but of other conditions...
So, according of these finest of the fine folks...
Up is down.

Death is what, exactly?

Little has been written, anywhere, in the United States of America, and the world at large, on just how busy the lawyers are at settling estates of their deceased, Covid-19 patients / clients.
For instance, New York or Florida, is Trump writing a new law that requires that all assets will be seized, and held in his TRUST until the Pandemic is over. In the meantime the funds will be .......
Of course within the 97,015 deaths there must be a considerable amount of lawyers that may have come down with covid-19 too because of their exposure to their new clients last wishes. Therefore who-is-taking-care-of-business in the meantime for the fallen lawyers? Has all of the paperwork been completed, and not manipulated by the President Trump's duly appointed Court officials?

Normally, in response, I would now crack wise at the expense of lawyers (reader e.g. excepted, of course). However, when it comes to this thing me thinks the humour will just have to wait until we've gotten through to the end.

As the N.Y. Times has this as the front page, trump is golfing.
Also some of the more trump friendly states are reportedly manipulating the numbers and sidelining the people producing the accurate numbers based on science and facts, and/or under reporting the daily toll until their is a window of no cases and the previous numbers can be slipped in to minimize the effect .

As the heartbreaking death toll continues to rise, it wouldn’t be a stretch to see more of this from the republican states at risk of losing the senate desperately trying to hold on to their voters, and restrict testing to keep the numbers as low as possible . But at these numbers of infections and deaths, it cant be long before nearly everyone in the U.S. knows of someone once or twice removed that has been a affected by covid.
