......Trolls Swarm the Tyee.

I suppose it should just be taken as a measure of the success and increasing impact of the work of David Beers et al. but, regardless, I still have a hard time ignoring the Troll Swarms that have hit the Tyee of late - especially the Election Blog section.

Case in point: a recent thread in which, apropos of nothing at all, two such folks started slagging Carole James for her 'role' in the resignation of Rollie Keith in the wake of statements he made about an issue that is vital to every single British Columbian - the relative guilt of Slobodan Milosevic.

Of course, the Trolls made no mention of stuff like this from Macleans:

"Liberal MLA Barry Penner, who represents the Chilliwack riding, had called on James to review Keith's candidacy in the May 17 election."

Or this, from CTV:

"(Liberal) Premier Gordon Campbell said the NDP mishandled Keith's nomination from the outset.

"Surely the NDP should have known (about his support for Milosevic) and they should have acted on it then, not now," he said. "Given that Mr. Keith has resigned, that's what he should do."

And most importantly, Mr. Keith himself sure as heck wasn't blaming Ms. James. Instead, in a Letter to the Editor of the local Chilliwack Times published just days after his resignation Keith turned his attention back to Messr's Penner and Campbell and went down with both barrels blazing.

"If one wants to talk about crimes against humanity, in my opinion, it is Gordon Campbell, our elected premier, who not only has been convicted of impaired driving, but who is a leader who, in his negative, ideological privatization push, has weakened our health, educational and social systems. These policies have hurt the disadvantaged, and this is indeed an example of crimes against humanity.

This leader also had within his staff, people accused of money laundering and drug trafficking.

Then there is his loyal local representative, Barry Penner, who sits quietly while the pristine Elk Creek is harvested for less than $7,000 in stumpage fees. Barry Penner who seeks private health care for a back problem because his government's severe cut backs and confrontation with labour have increased waiting lists for surgery for ordinary British Columbians.

In contrast, I am a proud citizen of Chilliwack who has served his country both internationally and locally for many years. And, although my comments on justice and truth have led to my withdrawal as the NDP candidate in Chilliwack, I do hope my fellow citizens vote to get rid of Barry Penner, John Les and the rest of the Gordon Campbell gang who, despite their election rhetoric, are not governing British Columbia for the majority of its people."

Wow.

No wonder they figured they had to get rid of him when they got the chance.

(and remember, the LINO's are playing by Rovian Rules now which state that you only attack that which you fear the most).
