Wheels Of Justice Still Locked

LedgeRaids
RailVille

Something was supposed to happen on the Basi/Virk front today:

"Hearing in B.C. Supreme Court to fix date of trial for David Basi, Bobby Virk, charged with fraud, breach of trust and influence-peddling in B.C. Rail privatization. Associate Chief Justice Patrick Dohm expected to hear submissions on length of trial."

But that was just the CannedWest (not)Global press briefing from this morning. No updates in the evening sweeps.

At this rate, we may finally get to the good bits in the Winter of, say, 2008.

Hmmmmm......come to think of it, maybe that's not such a bad thing.

Update 7:30am Tuesday: Mark Hume has the story. Apparently Justice Dohm can't find his can of WD-40 because he has set yet another hearing date, this time June 21st, to set an even later date for the commencement of the trial. Oh well, in the meantime, instead of sinking our teeth into unsealed search warrants guess we'll just have to sit back and enjoy all those shiny, happy people in the avalanche of oh-so-golden Harmony Airlines media buys.
