I suspect the police chiefs think if they leave the protestors alone, they will get tired of it all and go home. They have miscalculated. there is more at stake here than vaccinations and the right to peacefully protest.
Blocking streets so others can't go about their business is not peaceful protests. The Hate signs not part of peaceful protests. Perhaps the police chiefs agree with the protestors, I don't know, but some politicians might want to get off the pot and start making decisions. Police chiefs are not elected, they re the employees of the city and the citizens who pay their salaries.
Some of those involved in the "protests" are not just about the vaccine mandate for truckers. They have an agenda and its not one we want to see play out. /the pro nazi business, pissing on the tomb of the Unknown Solider, hanging protest flags on Terry Fox, etc. These protestors don't care about others.. They even went to a shelter to demand food. They are a bunch of white entitled assholes. if this gets much worse, some one might have to do what their Father did back in the 1970s. Don't think it can't get worse Oh, it can. Just have a very good look at the faces of the protestors, filled with hate, anger, all about themselves and their 15 seconds of fame. Give them their 15 seconds of fame, a mug shot for blocking the streets.
Boy do I agree with e.a.f. Time to go home . Time to start arresting.
