Help!...

...I've Fallen In A Bottomless  'Springsteen-At-The-Bottom-Line-In-1975'  Pit And I Can't Get Out.

Seriously.

This show is from Aug 17th, 1975 which was a week before the Born To Run's release and a couple of months before all that Time/Newsweek nonsense:

But....

There were ten of the things.

Two shows per night for five straight nights, none less than two hours long.

And the full audio is available on the Youtubes for four of them.

That's more than a full hour of the various versions of Kitty's Back's alone.

_________
I've been listening to them pretty much all day while I read and rank fellowship applications...Somebody's gotta do it...OK?

Dave--

It's incredible to listen to these shows and realize that behind all the storifying, jiving and joy that he was also really driving those guys, hard, every darned time. And they'd just come off those Born to Run sessions where he nearly drove them all crazy working non-stop to get the wall of sound wrapped around things like Clarence's sax solos.

In some ways it must have been hellish for them - especially given that after the first two albums didn't really sell that well and the pressure was on for Run.

Careful Scotty--

If you fall in it may be Tuesday before you get out.

Am watching David Simon's latest...Sure puts early '70's Bruce tunes like 'New York City Serenade' in a different perspective.
