Upshot: When you hear a screamer, club member and/or a Snooklandian bleating on about how giving people a fair shake and a fair wage is just too old fashioned to work, feel free to ask..."And just what the heckfire-in-a-hand-up-basket is so bad about 'old-fashioned' anyway?"

Grrr. And in the Driftglass article, there are quotes about the poor work ethics and such of the poor. Someone needs to remind Rand and Romney, et al, that for some number of decades ordinary working people have watched hard work and loyalty be rewarded with downsizing and layoffs. Honestly, this economy is not working for most of us, why should we work for it?

Don't know about you...But whenever I'm up real early and going somewhere in a city, it's not the top 1% I see standing on street corners waiting for the bus to get to work in the dark and the rain and worse.
