Who, Exactly, Enabled The Drug Money Laundry? The Victoria Times Colonist Takes An Important First Step Down The Path Of Non-Forgettery.

The VTC published a very important editorial today in which they noted the following:

...It’s been known for some time that casinos offer an attractive way to cloak the proceeds of crime. Gang members can claim they came by their cash playing poker.

But it appears casino-based laundering is far more extensive than was previously understood. It also appears Christy Clark’s former administration knew the facts for some time and failed to respond effectively.

In 2015, Clark’s government commissioned a report on the relationship between organized crime and casinos. But when it became evident the contents were explosive, the report was quietly buried...

This is an important first step at demonstrating a functioning promedia short-term memory organ.

Now.

If they could just engage a little longer-term memory and go all the way back to, say....

...2009.

Could we do a FOI on Sean Holman's notes (not published) without having to pay for the data?

I'm sure there's tons of great stuff in those notes and in the proprietor's noggin.

Regardless, I assume you are joking as FOI not remotely possible - Mr. Holman's concern was entirely his own private Idaho.

And wouldn't be right, regardless (protecting of sources, etc).

However, in my experience Sean always responds to specific questions if you've got 'em NVG.

Its great to see the truth finally surface. The liberals are organized crime themselves. With railgate and the likes. Can we start a list of questionable activities that they have been involved in. Lets try forcing the RCMP to do there job now that the crooks are out of office. If any MLA is found to be involved in ripping off the people of BC to fill his own pockets or the pockets of his friends, they should be sent to jail and forfiet there pensions.

The RCMP will do the work they want to do and that is it. They have a 20 year deal with the B.C. Government and although it has an exit clause it is doubtful the NDP government will use it. Developing a new provincial police force will be costly and B.C. voters are all about keeping taxes low.

Getting the RCMP to do anything they don't want to is difficult, they don't report to B.C., but to Ottawa and their bosses have heavens knows reported to the devil themself from time to time. any organization which has the track record the RCMP has isn't going to take direction from any one. remember all the millions the federal government has to pay out on sexual harassment class action law suits. They don't learn. they have another law going in the Comox Valley. Made the front page of their local paper.

In my opinion the RCMP aren't going to do the job people want them to do. They answer to political masters a long way from Victoria. One might remember it was Harper who gave el gordo that nice little job in London, England and then Trudeau has given him a nice job on an advisory board on free trade. Who says "crime" doesn't pay.
