The Advent Jukebox, Day 13....A Christmas Card Like No Other.

A long, long time ago I met this guy at the track....errr...ballpark.

And it was he who got me into this writing-for-free business.

Which, some of you regulars may have surmised, has morphed and mutated into a somewhat bizarre, not to mention somewhat obsessive, habit I just can't shake.

Anyway, this guy also forced me, very much against my will, into road trips to places like Las Vegas to hunt down Chocolate Roy as well as Peoria Arizona where we hit fungoes in the desert and watched Mario Mendoza do his thing as a minor league hitting instructor for the California Angels.

Just think about that for a moment.

Mario Mendoza... "hitting instructor".

Who knew that, twenty-five years later, we would both be living respectable lives and each have two pretty much grown-up kids.

Charlie, it's crazy...

Especially when you realize that only one of us has even been to Minneapolis:

You want a wee bit of the real thing
from Mr. Waits?....You can find it...Here.

As always, you can catch up on all of this year's Advent Jukebox tunes and bonus linear type content...Here.
