This Day In Clarkland....Hey Rubes!

AllTheUsersThatFit
FeesIncreasingToInfinityVille

First, the word salad appetizer from our fine Premier:

...“I think if we don’t do it (the 10 billion dollar Site C dam) now, it’ll never happen. We have an opportunity to get into the market right now. For those who would argue we should delay, I would say, well hang on with North American energy prices as low as they are for natural gas. The only way to preserve the jobs we have now and grow them in the gas business — export it at higher prices to Asia.”...

Next, the rancid dressing for the rubes that will pay for it all forever:

...In B.C., premiums are payable for MSP coverage and are based on family size and income.

Effective January 1, 2015, monthly rates are $72.00 for one person, $130.50 for a family of two and $144.00 for a family of three or more. From January 1, 2014, to December 31, 2014 monthly rates are $69.25 for one person, $125.50 for a family of two and $138.50 for a family of three or more...

And, the real problem with all this regressiveness (which, of course, is a longterm strategy)?

Well, as David Schreck (not Shrek!) pointed out:

_______
And don't forget...Ms. Clark's favourite Christmas movie is, allegedly, 'It's A Wonderful Life'...As near is I can figure it, the motto of the old Bailey Brothers Building And Loan was not 'Heads We Win, Tails You Lose'... Gosh, is it possible that Ms. Clark's  'Lumps of Coal for Christmas' initiative was for real?

Ross K....I just went to watch that video you linked to...

In the very first minute, Jill Krop mentions what happened with Christy Clark in 2014...

I quote..

"For Christy Clark 2014 included an election victory that surprised even the pollsters"

Now hear me out, Jill Krop, a news anchor, Global B.C. in the business of accurate reporting?...

Don`t you see this deliberate mistake Global B.C made....?

I do, CKNW did the same thing last month...CKNW`s Shane Woodford said on air that Clark stunned British Columbia with an election win 6 months ago..

And now, a year end interview on Global BC..A news outlet, they are acting as if Christy Clark has been premier for a mere 5 1/2 months....

When in fact Christy Clark was elected premier in May of 2013...Meaning her jobs plan has failed for 18 months and longer, meaning her LNG strategy has failed chasing 2 years..

This mistake is not an accident, Global trying to paint a picture that Clark has barely been premier.

Grant

Your eyes and ears are sharp today, catching the references to an imaginary election win for the crusty one.

I'm currently reading Party of One by Mike Harris who cuts no slack for the A**hole our Crime Minister Sleazy Steve....I recommend it to everyone, hell even some Harper lovers might change their mind after reading this 500 page indictment of the man who hides in closets when not destroying Parliament, Canada and the world as much as he possibly can.

Regarding Ms. Clark's tenure as Premier...

And do not forget that she was first sworn in on Mar 14th, 2011.

Thus, she has actually been making sure it's heads they win, tails we lose for almost four years now.

"The opportunity to export natural gas is the biggest opportunity our province has ever had to fight climate change"

Uh huh.

when people go to pay those premiums, they might remember they voted Christy into office. They have no one to blame but themselves. Of course there will be many who find these premiums to be a tad high given the low wages. But such is life with the B.C. Lieberals. next time think before you vote.

Now people ought not to expect Christy to raise corporate taxes, those corporations are her friends and they come first. Remember this is a woman who think its just fine to mine for gold in the pockets of children living at 50% below the poverty line.

At this time as many charities are delivery Christmas Hampers, you do wonder how this government could force children to live in such conditions. ensuring children lived in inadequate housing and not having sufficient food to eat, there truly is something very sick about a government who ensures such a degree of poverty,

Hugh--

Like I said, 'word salad'.

And don't forget, when it comes to the Sparkle Ponies, those 'upstream emissions' aren't even real.

Or some such thing.

________

eaf--

That's it, exactly.

The mining of the gold (or even the lint?) in the pockets of poor kids, I mean.

Now.

If the policies of grinding down the poor by pushing all things regressive to the hilt actually floated all boats a these fine folks profess, I would be willing to give them and their goddess awful policies a break.

But, alas, as you make clear, they do not.

Which, of course, is why one of the first things Ms. Clark did after she replaced Mr. Campbell was to kill off the latter's 'Progress Board' immediately.

Why?

Well, you know....

....This.
